To teach, is to not only impart, but to learn - to grow. It is a dialogue that allows us to understand, question and experience, between what is being seen and what is being said. It is to nurture and to explore the potential of another, in the hope of uncovering something deep within ourselves.

Alongside Ahmad’s design practice, she became interested in art and design academia and has had the privilege to teach and be associated with the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (IVS) since 2015 to date, as adjunct faculty primarily in the Department of Communication Design, where she develops courses and teaches publication design, graphic design and typography, and also an advisor and supervisor for the development of thesis projects for final year students. Ahmad as adjunct faculty at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture has taught “Basic Design” in the Foundation Year Programme, “Print Media and Popular/Visual Culture” in the Liberal Arts Programme, and “New Media-Print Design” in Department of Fine Art. She has previously also taught at The Government Elementary College of Education, Hussainabad, one of the oldest teacher training colleges of Sindh, established in 1956, where she was appointed as lecturer, responsible for teaching and redesigning the arts, crafts and calligraphy course. The management of this college has been outsourced to a non-profit organization, Durbeen, with the goal to make it the leading teacher training College of Pakistan.

Currently in the Department of Communication Design, She is looking for new ways of developing the existing Graphic Design major, thinking of new ways of bringing research into the curriculum. The goal is to create an environment where the process of working collectively becomes central.
